Happy first birthday to my sweetest, most strong, loving blueberries. 🥳 Brodee and Hadlee you have forever changed my life and I cannot thank God enough for you two. This time last year I was having an emergency csection, not knowing what our outcome would be. It was the scariest day I have ever had. The next few months were filled with fear, lots of anxiety, postpartum depression, thankfulness, joy, love, gratefulness, and humbleness. You both gave me a couple gray hairs in the first few months of your life but you also made me a better person. I became stronger in my faith, I loved your daddy even more, I found strength I didn’t know I had, and learned to love and appreactie the big but mostly “little” things in life.
I cannot wait to see the things you both do in your life, because I know God has major plans for you both. We are here today because of God’s love, grace and mercy. I can’t tell you how many times I sat alone praying and crying that God would heal you both and I’m forever grateful that HE did. Not only were your family members praying, but your community, people we had never met, & people across the world. You both are loved by so many people, but I can promise you that nobody will ever love you as much and your dada & I.
it’s mind-blowing that it has already been year, for 119 days we sat in a NICU dreaming of the time we would be home with you both. It has been the most amazing experience being your mom and getting to love you everyday. You both amaze me by how strong and determined you both are.
The songs in the video each having a meaning to me. The first two were my jams on my to the NICU every morning with my Starbucks. The third song is the song I walked down the aisle to. I chose it because I get to love the 3 most important people in my life and God has been so good to me. The 3 of you make me a better person and ya’ll made love real to me. The last song is because we count our blessings- and you two are our biggest ones.
All the glory goes to our Lord & Savior. He has been so good to Levi & I. There is power in the mighty name of Jesus. 🙏🏼
Also, happy birthday to the man who held me together during the most painful time in my life. Thank you for being a man who loves God. Thank you for working hard for our family. Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for being kind. Thank you for putting your family first. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving our babies. Thank you for our adventures.
